There are usually two types of links.
I) Do-follow link
II) No-follow link
I) Do-follow link
If you do not follow the link feature, the link is do-followed by default.
If a link is do-follow, it means that the search engine bot will pass through the link and go to the target page.
Now you can say what is the benefit?
Yes, there are benefits.
That is, the link juice will pass to your site. That is, the search engine bot will help the target page to rank because of this link.
Although there are a few more things to do, not only do-follow links but also the position of the page you are linking to should be good in search engines. Then you will benefit if you get such a do-follow link.
Example of do-follow link:

No-follow link -
Do-follow links are the most important. Because the link juice is passed only if the link is do-follow. So will all the links on the site be do-follow?
Answer - No.
Because if Google understands that you are trying to manipulate search results. If you want to link your website by buying links with money to manipulate, then your site will get a hefty penalty.
I see many people thinking like this, if I take a link with money, will I take a no-follow canoe? This is a fatal misconception. When backlinking, keep in mind that the links are a mix of Do-follow and No-follow.
